April 17, 2025, Important: The running of all deadlines is resumed

On April 17, 2025 Law of Ukraine No. 4362 was adopted, which repeals the Law of Ukraine No. 2174-IX, according to which all deadlines in the IP field were suspended since the beginning of the full-scale war on February 24, 2022 (the Law On the Protection of Intellectual Property Interests during Martial Law Imposed in Connection with the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine).

The new Law was published on May 1, 2025 and will enter into force on May 31, 2025.

According to the transitional provisions of the Law No. 4362, the time limits for performing actions related to the protection of intellectual property rights, as well as the time limits for the procedures for acquiring these rights, which were suspended in accordance with the Law No. 2174-IX, shall be extended from the date of entry into force of this Law, taking into account the time elapsed before their suspension, but not less than seventy-five (75) days.
